Appeal to become a DARE member
| |  | | | |  | 1. Become a DARE associate member! Are you an individual, or a public institution or private organisation who wants to morally and financially support the goals and objectives of DARE? Then you can apply for associate membership of DARE. The procedure is very simple: send an e-mail with the name, the full address, the e-mail address and eventually the url of the candidate for associate membership to the DARE board, via its Treasurer. After having received the electronic invoice from the treasurer you pay the associate membership fee (€ 70,00). You will then be added to the DARE mailing list and the e-DARE subscribers list. Notes: 1) According to the DARE constitution (to be found here) the DARE Board has discretionary powers to eventually refuse the application for associate membership without further motivation. 2) Associate members have no voting rights. top 2. Become a DARE full member! Are you a non-governmental organisation, a public institutions or an other organisation which is committed to the objectives of DARE and involved in practical educational work? In case your legal seat is based within a member country of the Council of Europe and you pursue network objectives within member countries of the Council of Europe, you can apply for full membership of DARE. Candidates for membership must complete an application form (to be found here, also available in pdf format) to be addressed to the DARE Board via its Secretary (pirker@adb.be), at latest on 01 June 2010 if you want your membership be ratified by the next DARE General Assembly (GA). The DARE board will propose for ratification to the DARE General Assembly (the next GA taking place on 03 July 2010) the membership of all those candidates which it endorses. After the settlement of the DARE membership fee (€ 100,00 for 2010) you will be considered as a full member. DARE and the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion 2010 is the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. With the European conference "Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion in Europe through Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education in Adult Learning" in Glasgow, March 4-5, 2010, DARE contributed to the European Year.
